While Loki is the Nordic trickster, we cannot forget about Robin Goodfellow! He is both mischievous and clever, as all tricksters should be. When he is introduces in Act II of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, he is described as “that shrewd and knavish sprite” and “that merry wanderer of the night” (Shakespeare, 1998, Act 2, Scene 1). I found an interesting site that really went into depth on the actions of this trickster, and how he is presented. Check it out!
